Products I’ve Used Up #5

septemptiesMore beauty products I’ve used, with my honest options!

Yarok Feed Your Ends Leave-In Conditioner – This is a very nice leave-in conditioner for my fine hair.  However, I’ve decided that I like the Honest Company Leave-In Conditioner better.  The  price is much more affordable – the Honest version is $5.95 for 4ozs, while Yarok is $19.80 for 4ozs. I also love the Honest Company’s orange vanilla scent.  The Yarok is pricier and doesn’t perform any better on my hair.

Mahalo Body Vacation Glow (trial size) – This brand is fantastic as a whole.  I’ve tried all their products and they are exceptional.  This is a lovely body oil that is best suited for spring and summer, in my opinion.  It does give a subtle shimmer to the skin – not glittery at all.  The scent is warm and slightly exotic.  However, since body oils aren’t one of the things I splurge on, I wouldn’t purchase this product.

Osmia Organics Luz Enzyme Facial Soap – I received this face soap in my ANFGB box that I purchased a couple of months ago.  I still have part of the bar left, and I still absolutely love it!  This little bar changed how I felt about bar soaps for my face – it is one of the most moisturizing face soaps I’ve tried.  No tight, dry skin!  And the scent is complex and beautiful.

W3LL People Expressionist Mascara – This has been my favorite clean mascara for a while – it makes my lashes look really good, doesn’t flake at all, and only smudges when it’s very humid or I rub my eyes.  However, I recently bought a clean mascara that I think trumps this one.  I’ll talk about that in a post coming very soon!

Lotus Wei Inner Peace Elixir – I bought this last year when I was dealing with severe anxiety and mild depression, as an added tool in my arsenal.  This is a lovely product and I highly recommend it to help in calming anxiety.  I used this to help my anxiety in conjunction with other things – both medications as well as holistic approaches  This would be nice to have on your desk at work for times when you feel a little stressed.  My anxiety and depression are much, much better controlled at this point in time, FYI.

Meow Meow Tweet Face Cleanser – I bought this as a first cleanser in a 2-step cleansing regime.  I hoped it would work really well to dissolve my makeup, but it didn’t work great for that purpose.  I did use it up and I did use it to remove makeup, I just wouldn’t repurchase because I definitely didn’t love it for that purpose.  On the other hand, it is a nice oil-based face cleanser.

Meow Meow Tweet Face Oil – My husband and I both used this oil.  I really like this oil not only because it works really well, but the price point makes it very affordable as far as clean beauty oils go ($25 for 0.9 ounces).  I would definitely repurchase this oil in the future.  Also, the scent – for me – is a fantastic earthy scent.

Little Barn Apothocary Soothing and Clearing Toner – This was a bit too astringent for my skin, even during the summer.  I wouldn’t repurchase for that reason.  I much prefer the Brittanie’s Thyme toner over this one for a summertime toner.  I’m not sure why, but I cannot find this product on their website – perhaps it was discontinued or is a seasonal product?

Have you tried any of these products?
