My Current All-Natural Evening Skincare Routine

eveningskincaredec14My evening skincare routine is more involved than my morning routine.  Not only do I have makeup to remove, but I think a great time to replenish my skin with good ingredients is while I sleep.  I’m always changing up a few products here and there to find the best products for my skin type.  These are the products I’m currently using.

Elizabeth Dehn for OLO Vitamin B Cleansing Oil – I’ve religiously used this to remove my makeup every night for about 4 or 5 months.  My skin doesn’t like the cold winter weather, and this oil is so soothing and gentle.  It really does melt makeup away, and smells so good.  I really love nice smelling products, and this one is stellar.  I highly prefer removing makeup with this as opposed to balms, which make a greasy mess on my hands and face and make it difficult to remove eye makeup – this oil makes it effortless.

Painted Earth Optimum 15% Vitamin C Face Wash – I’m on the fence about this face wash.  It works…but how well for me?  I still haven’t decided.  After using a few different face washes in the last six months, I think I lean more towards the very gentle and mild cleansers.  My skin just seems happier with them.  I may start adding this back into my routine when spring gets here and my skin is less sensitive.

evanhealy Lavender Facial Tonic HydroSoul – This hydrosol is a complex lavender scent.  When I first smelled it, I was taken aback – it doesn’t smell like traditional lavender to me.  However, the scent has grown on me.  I mist this all over my face after I finishing washing it.  It is so calming and soothing.  I’ve purchased another EH Hydrosoul scent for my next bottle.

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil – Even with all the fancy and complex oils and serums out there, this oil is still stellar to me.  Sometimes, simple is best.  I have been reaching for this bottle more lately because whenever my skin is irritated, chapped, or developing a pimple, this oil seems to just make everything better.  It’s fantastic, and I’ve already ordered another bottle.

One Love Organics Love Springs Eternal Serum – I’m on my second bottle of this lovely serum.  It just works really well and I will attribute that in part to the watermelon seed oil.  I have been reaching for this a little less lately, but that’s because my skin has been so sensitive and dry and I’m trying my damnedest to figure out what products make it happiest.

Laurel Eye Balm – This thick, rich eye balm is great – fantastic ingredients, gentle, non-irritating, hydrating.  Before this, I was using the ED OLO Eye Balm which I absolutely love, too.  It’s a toss up between these two eye balms for me – they are both great. (Not to be a tease, but I’ve been using a sample of Laurel’s Healing Balm – oh, my.  It’s my favorite face balm yet. The ingredients are stellar and don’t include coconut oil).

Gemstone Organic Jade Creme – I featured this creme in my current morning skincare routine as well.  I don’t use this every day, just depending upon my mood.  It’s almost empty and if I do buy another of their cremes, it will be the Ruby Creme.

One Love Organics Skin Savior Balm – I purchased this when my skin started freaking out from the winter weather.  I’ve been dealing with irritated, itchy skin with dry patches.  Not fun, let me tell you.  This is another product I don’t use every day.  Its main ingredient is coconut oil, and as there are a lot of people who have experienced skin issues with too much coconut oil use, I’m leery to get too coconut oil crazy.  I do use this when my skin is extra dry or tight and just needs that extra layer of moisture.  Sometimes I use it as a morning facial cleanser as well.  It does make my skin soft.

What products do you recommend for sensitive, dry winter skin?  Do you use any of these products?  What evening skincare products do you love?

My Current All-Natural Morning Skincare Routine

morningskincaredec14I’m still tweaking my winter skincare to find the best solutions for my skin.  Typically, I have slightly oily skin in summer and dry skin in winter.  I’m still researching for the best products that will moisturize, help me retain moisture, but also not irritate or break out my often sensitive skin.  Tall order.  For now, these are the products I’m currently using for morning skincare.

OLO Brand New Day with Manuka Honey – a couple of times a week, I use these two products and apply them as a mask to my face before I hop in the shower.  I’ve mentioned how much I enjoy this mask in a past post.

HollyBeth Organics Chamomile Cleanser – I’ve also been using this in the mornings for a few months now.  This cleanser is great – very affordable, gentle, but still makes my skin feel clean and prepped for other products.

Root Science RS Youth Serum – This serum is so nice – I love the smell, the ingredients are fantastic, and I love the packaging.  It’s pricey, though (I bought this during a sale).  To make this bottle last longer, I’ve only been using this as my morning serum.

Laurel Eye Balm – Another pricey luxury that I picked up during a sale.  At this point in my life, an eye balm is a necessity in winter (and year round, too).  This one is really lovely, but I still cannot decide if I like it better than the ED OLO Active Moisture Vitamin E Eye Balm.  Regardless, this is a truly great eye balm.  It moisturizes so well without irritating my eyes at all.

Blissoma A+ Perfecting Serum – This was a sample and I really enjoy this.  Typically, my skin is in good shape, but I always deal with periods of time where my skin is a bit irritated or has a couple of pimples.  I don’t know how I would feel about its effectiveness if I bought the full-size – I may purchase just to get a better idea of how well I like it.

Gemstone Organic Jade Creme – This stuff is fantastic.  I’m almost out of this thick, moisturizing, fragrant cream. I really want to pick up their Ruby Creme, as it doesn’t contain coconut oil and I’m paranoid that too many products with coconut oil will start to affect my skin.  The Ruby Creme sounds amazing.

Nourish Organic Fresh Fig Body Butter – Possibly my favorite body butter ever.  For me, this scent is heaven.  I am euphoric every time I open this jar to put some on my skin.  It smells so good, that I can’t even put it into words.  And as far as moisturizing, it does a wonderful job.  I usually deal with really dry skin on my shins, but this butter is so good that no matter how cold it is outside, my skin is soft and hydrated. My one tiny gripe is that it does seem to take a little longer to absorb into my skin than other products, but I’ll deal with it. And for the price, this stuff is just phenomenal.

Do you use any of these products?  Do you have any recommendations for products to help deal with sensitive, dry winter skin?
